Material of Curtain and the Common Concepts We May Use
The materials of curtain include natural fiber, chemical fiber and blend fabric.
1. Nature fiber: Nature fiber refers to the fiber suiting to be used as textile raw materials naturally, for example, cotton, wool, linen, silk and so on. The follows are their features:
1.1 Cotton: Cotton has soft luster and it is soft but not smooth. It has plain and natural appearance and has good hygroscopic, moisture, heat resistance and alkali resistance.
1.2 Wool: Worsted woolen has smooth surface, clear textured, soft luster and it has good elasticity and smooth tactile impression.
1.3 Linen: Linen has good air permeability and hygroscopic, but it is easy to crease. It will be trim and ventilate with higher price.
1.4 Silk: Silk is light and soft with bright colors.
2. Chemical fiber: Chemical fiber refers to textile fibers that are produced by the ways of chemical and machinery and that use natural or synthetic polymer substance as original material. It can be divided into synthetic fiber and recycled fiber.
2.1 Synthetic fiber: It is byproduct of petrochemical industry and coking industry, for example, polyester, nylon and acrylic. The follows are their features:
2.1.1 Polyester: Polyester has good tactile impression, good elasticity and does not crease easily. It glitters under sunlight. However, polyester is easy to produce static electricity and pilling and it has bad air permeability and hygroscopic.
2.1.2 Nylon: Its tactile impression is hard, but it is durable. Light resistance and heat resistance are not so well.
2.1.3 Acrylic: This type is fluffy and has good elasticity, resembling to wool fabric. The abrasion resistance is worse than other synthetic fibers. The stability of material (color, size and fiber structure) is bad.
2.2 Recycled fiber: Recycled fiber is the maximum number of production varieties, which is formed by chemical and machinery using polymeric substance of cellulose proteins natural, such as viscose, staple rayon and rayon as raw materials. Viscose is soft and has good moisture permeability, but acid and alkali resistant is not so well.
3. Blend fabric: It is the textile product that is made of chemical fiber and other natural fiber, such as cotton, wool, silk and linen. For example, polyester cotton, polyester linen and cotton linen. The follows are their features:
3.1 Polyester cotton: It is a general designation of blend fabric of polyester and cotton.
3.2 Polyester linen: The tactile impression of polyester linen is better that total linen and at the same time, it not looses the feel of linen.
3.3 Cotton linen: Cotton fabric has soft tactile impression and linen fabric has good vertical sense and clear textured. The cotton linen has the advantages of those.
