1.Color has three basic performance elements that are hue, lightness, saturation.
a.Hue refers to the color's appearance that is name that distinguishes different colors, such as red, yellow, blue and mixed colors (e.g. red+ yellow= orange, blue+ red= purple).
b.Lightness refers to color itself. The whole process of achromatic changing from white to grey and then to black is lightness. Low lightness color refers to dark color and high lightness color refers to bright color. In hue, the lightness of yellow is highest and blue is lowest.
c.Saturation refers to color’s purity and concentration. The stronger the color, the higher the purity.
2.Theoretically, color can be divided into colorless (white, grey and black) and colored (red, orange, yellow and green).
3.According to psychological and visual judgment of people, color can be divided into cold and warm. There are three categories that are warm colors (red, orange and yellow), cold color (blue, green and violet) and neutral colors ( green, purple, fuchsia and chartreuse)
